For the past four years I have been part of Hull4Heroes’ talking group GEO.
It stands for Get Emotions Out and ‘Geo’ was also my son’s nickname.
GEO is designed to create a supportive and empowering environment for individuals with military backgrounds.
This program provides a platform for participants to engage in open discussions, share their experiences, and foster connections within the military community. Through regular meetings and conversations, the initiative aims to cultivate camaraderie, offer valuable insights, and tackle the unique challenges faced by military members. This fosters a robust network of individuals who can uplift and inspire one another as they navigate their lives after military service.
I know it has saved lives and changed lives with veterans ripping up their suicide plans.
It is an honour to be part of the project.
If you would like me to work with your school, college, or organisation to grow awareness of mental health and promote how 'talking' has such a positive impact, then please drop me a line. Together we can change lives, and save lives.
