The baton of hope arrived in Barton upon humber.
The baton symbolises hope, in your darkest days there is hope and strength. Me and my family are Incredibly proud to carry the baton for our georgey! Also for me to remind myself how far I have come ![]()
So powerful to see so many people united with the same goal hope. Hope for a zero suicide society.

Operation Lifeline
According to statistics, up to five veterans take their lives every week.
The Veterans’ Foundation has launched Operation Lifeline to fund projects that support mental wellbeing in our armed forces and veterans. Lifeline’s mission is to make a significant positive impact on those figures. One loss is too many.
I’m delighted to have been asked to be part of the launch team of Operation Lifeline which aims to raise £6m a year for projects that deliver front line support.

Carol and I traveled down via train to Kilkhampton to attend The Festival of Remembrance as guests which featured our George Ellis.
It’ was a very emotional day but so Proud that we have been invited.
We have so many kind folk to thank for their kindness and generosity.
