Suicide prevention in the workplace is an essential, often overlooked part of employee wellbeing. As a suicide awareness keynote speaker, my talks for businesses are designed to open up honest, constructive conversations about mental health in professional environments—without stigma, discomfort, or judgment.
These sessions recognize a simple reality: many people bring unseen struggles to work every day. Stress, burnout, financial pressure, and personal challenges can all compound, and without the right support, they can escalate. My talks help organizations better understand these pressures and equip their teams with practical tools to respond effectively.
Each keynote is tailored to the workplace setting, blending real-world insight with actionable guidance. Employees and leaders learn how to recognize warning signs, how to approach difficult conversations with care, and how to signpost colleagues toward appropriate support. The focus is not on turning staff into therapists, but on building awareness, empathy, and confidence in knowing what to do—and what to say—when it matters.
For leadership and management, these talks highlight the role workplace culture plays in mental health. Creating an environment where people feel safe to speak up, ask for help, and support one another can significantly reduce isolation and risk. Small changes in communication, policy, and attitude can make a meaningful difference.
Above all, these sessions emphasize that suicide prevention is not just a personal issue—it’s a collective responsibility. When workplaces prioritize mental health openly and proactively, they don’t just support individuals; they strengthen teams, improve morale, and create a culture where people can genuinely thrive.
The goal is to leave every audience with greater awareness, practical tools, and a clear message: support is available, conversations matter, and no one should feel they have to struggle alone.

The Family Hub team in North Lincolnshire had the profound privilege of listening to Adrian Ellis share his deeply personal and moving experience as a father bereaved by suicide. His courage in recounting his journey was both inspiring and humbling. Through his words, he brought to light the immense challenges and emotional turmoil faced by those who have lost a loved one to suicide.
Adrian spoke with such authenticity and vulnerability, creating a space where my Family Hub team felt as if they were also being listened to and heard with their own emotions and thoughts. His story not only highlighted the importance of mental health awareness but also underscored the need for compassion and support for those grieving such a loss.
His ability to transform his pain into a powerful message of hope and resilience is truly remarkable. I left the session feeling deeply moved and more equipped to support others in similar situations. Adrians’s testimony is a testament to the strength of the human spirit and the importance of community in healing, and in ensuring it is heard through and how we as professionals, members of the public can raise the awareness of supporting mental health by being available to talk and through signposting to support groups such as Adrians
